READY Coalition logo
The Arlington READY Coalition to Reduce or Eliminate Alcohol and Drug use by Youth was established in 2008 to address concerns that teens in Arlington were reporting alcohol high risk drinking rates that were higher than the national average.

Community members from 12 sectors including Arlington Public Schools, the Courts, Law Enforcement, Parents, Faith Communities, Civic Organizations, the Community Service Board and others have joined in an effort to reinforce the message that Teen Drinking is Preventable not Inevitable, and to promote a message that marijuana use adds nothing to a teen’s life while putting their future at risk.

The Coalition is a project of the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families and is partially funded through a Drug Free Communities Grant.
